About the Company
We're Mind HK, a mental health initiative. We're here to make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone.
Our Mission and Vision
To ensure everyone in Hong Kong living with a mental health problem has the recognition, support and respect they need to make the best recovery possible.
To provide partnership, collaboration, training, innovation and best practice to facilitate the work of all those involved in improving mental health in Hong Kong.
To lead, promote and support the destigmatisation and transformation of community mental health care so that Hong Kong can become a global leader in the field and a model for other Asian cities.
To research and audit these strategies and share them internationally.
What we do
Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. But hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling. We believe no-one should have to face a mental health problem alone. We will listen to community, provide support and advice, and fight your corner.
Mental health is a concern for all of us because if affects all of us. In Hong Kong, over a million individuals and families experience mental health problems. While common conditions such as anxiety and depression are estimated to impact more than 10% of the population, most will remain undiagnosed and untreated resulting in enormous health, social and economic consequences.
Through public campaigns and trainings, Mind HK hopes to increase awareness and understanding around mental health and services available to ensure that the necessary information and resources are accessible to those suffering from mental health problems.
