ROLE DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE
The Head of Marketing, Hong Kong and China is part of BNP Paribas Asset Management's APAC Marketing team. This team handles above-the-line and below-the-line marketing across all channels and is responsible for content creation, campaigns, digital marketing initiatives, events, sponsorships and roadshows.
As part of the APAC Marketing team, this role is expected to lead, design and execute high impact marketing projects to reinforce BNPP AM as a leading sustainable asset manager and drive business growth. Developing and implementing integrated B2B2C marketing programs for the Retail Marketing segment in Hong Kong, and managing marketing activities for our business in mainland China would be the main focus.
This role requires a candidate who has the ability to partner with the Sales and Product teams to spur commercial flows and demand for our firm's investment offerings. Collaborating with various functions globally to amplify our marketing impact by educating and engaging prospects and clients is another key area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partner with the CMO APAC and CEO HK to develop executional roadmaps to deliver on the annual plan and priorities
• Support the CMO APAC and CEO HK in driving connectivity across all the marketing functions to ensure that the Marketing team is connected on strategy and executional plans
• Spearhead development of HK and China Marketing's growth strategy to maximize commercial value
• Lead team and/squads on high level, net new strategic priorities and projects stemming from HK marketing and growth strategi
• In partnership with the CMO APAC and CEO HK and APAC marketing team, integrate and roll out local and regional marketing programs & mandates
• Build strong relationships with Marketing partners across distributions, product, operations, technology
• Drive the clear and engaging communication of the strategy throughout the organization to ensure effective strategic dialogue and timely updates on quarterly results and progress of strategic initiatives KEY INTERNAL / EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
• Internal: Marketing teams in APAC and globally, Sales teams, Brands & Communications teams, Product and Investment teams, Compliance teams and the BNPP AM group
• External: Vendors and potentially clients at events ROLE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Degree in Communications, Marketing or Business
• At least eight years+ of experience in product marketing and communications, with proficiency in digital marketing
• Comprehensive knowledge on financial concepts and investment products, preferably with an asset management background
• A creative individual with a track-record in delivering successful marketing campaigns
• Possess a flair for powerful story-telling and synthesising complex ideas into clear, simple messages
• Excellent project and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and meet demanding deadlines
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Chinese, an excellent communicator (both written and verbal)
• Leadership skills in managing projects and people
• Project management in a multi-country, multi-cultural environment
• Ability to provide clear direction and objectives for his/her team members
• Ability to lead by example, to develop team spirit
• Ability to identify and develop individual potential
