Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Sales & Marketing in Hong Kong, the Assistant Director of Sales / Senior Sales Manager – Leisure is responsible for Generate rooms business from existing and potential corporate accounts, co-ordinating customer requirements with other departments in order to achieve maximum guest satisfaction and profitability for the hotel. The Assistant Director of Sales / Senior Sales Manager – Leisure reports to the Director of Sales.
As Assistant Director of Sales / Senior Sales Manager - Leisure, you will be responsible for the following duties:
• Sales Representative for both Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong and The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong
• Be responsible for developing and achieving room night and revenue production goals set for Luxury Agents, Leisure Wholesale and Group Leisure segments agreed in Marketing Plan
• Be responsible for managing and developing accounts from Short-haul and Long-haul leisure wholesale, luxury agencies, DMCs, Airlines and room only groups from all markets
• Monitor own accounts’ monthly production and attend Monthly Account Review Meeting
• Work with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s Global Sales Team / Regional Sales Team of assigned territories to ensure that all targets set in the Measurable Results System are achieved
• Be responsible for executing sales action plans to service all wholesale accounts locally and overseas
• Greet VIP guests or groups upon arrival and farewell them upon departure
• Ensure in maintaining up-to-date database in hotel systems
• Prepare weekly activities reports
• Ensure that all in-house guests receive service levels with the hotel standards
• Conduct site inspections
• Follow up on all sales leads as pertained
• Participate in familiarisation groups entertainment as and when required
• Participate in any projects as and when assigned by the direct superior
• Participate in overseas sales trips and, when required, complete all sales reports within one week of the trip
• Establish contact with local and overseas corporations and solicits business opportunities
As Assistant Director of Sales / Senior Sales Manager - Leisure, we expect from you:
• Degree holder in Business Management, Hospitality Management or relevant discipline
• 3-5 years relevant experience preferably in luxury hotel
• Dedication to providing great customer service
• Self-motivated, willing to learn and able to work under pressure with tight timeline
• Good communication and negotiation skills with both internal and external guests
• Excellent written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Sales Manager
