The Department Sales Manager role is a key position in our stores, guiding the team to generate high sales turnover and promote customer loyalty. This role is fully accountable for the business unit performance, customer service and clienteling, people management and daily operations.

The Role

Sales and Customer Management

• Ownership of the business unit performance and accountablity for target achievement.

• Develop strategic plans and initiatives to enhance and boost sales performance by analysing KPIs and evaluating ROIs.

• Implement effective clienteling initiatives to increase store traffic, attract potential customers, and enhance customer loyalty.

• Host and execute store events and other activations to promote own business unit performance and increase visibility of product/ promotions..

Leadership and Team Management

• Lead, manage and motivate team to achieve optimal performance and productivity.

• Define clear team and individual objectives; track, support, and oversee progress.

• Grow and develop the team through regular coaching and feedback.

Operations Management

• Manage daily store operations, including but not limited to, inventory management, invoicing, dispatch, and coordination with external suppliers.

• Ensure all store processes and procedures are meticulously organised to deliver a best-in-class client experience while adhering to company guidelines.

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience in retail management, with a minimum of 10 years in a supervisory role.

• Demonstrate strong business acumen with an entrepreneurial, results-oriented mindset and a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving sales growth.

• Strong leadership abilities that foster a positive work environment, with the capacity to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team to achieve business goals and drive operational improvements.

• Proficient in analyzing sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.

• Exceptional customer service skills with a client-centric approach.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with team members and customers.

• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to effectively resolve issues and challenges.

• Highly organized with excellent time management abilities.
