We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Office of Research Affairs and Knowledge Transfer :

Major Duties And Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

• Establishing and nurturing pipelines of both internal and external opportunities to enhance knowledge transfer and commercialization activities such as licensing and contract research;

• Collaborating with academic staff to identify marketable research and innovations;

• Preparing and managing proposals for funding, partnerships, and other collaborative projects;

• Organizing and facilitating meetings, workshops, and events to promote knowledge transfer activities;

• Monitoring and reporting on the progress of business development initiatives and partnerships;

• Ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures related to knowledge transfer and commercialization; and

• Performing any other duties as assigned.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

• A recognized degree, preferably in Engineering, Science, Technology, with relevant work experience;

• Good communication skills and writing skills in English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua);

• Good interpersonal and organizational skills;

• Entrepreneurial with a service mindset, self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and meticulousness;

• Capable of multitasking, attentive to details and able to work independently; and

• Good computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, etc.

Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
