The 440-room Novotel Citygate Hong Kong is located in the center of Tung Chung on Lantau Island. It is a few minutes drive from Hong Kong International Airport, with close proximity to Hong Kong Disneyland, Asia World-Expo and Ngong Ping 360. Connected to both hotels is Citygate Outlet Mall, a shopping and entertainment complex and only a few minutes walk to Tung Chung MTR Station.
Responsibilities
• Report to Director of Sales & Marketing and supervise the Sales & Marketing team of the 2 hotels
• Targets accounts, markets, or segments with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation
• Partners with counterpart to effectively manage the business opportunity
• Identifies, qualifies and solicits new business to achieve personal and property revenue goals
• Focuses efforts on accounts with significant potential sales revenue
• DEVELOPS effective sales plans and actions, works with partners to develop creative ideas and proposals for events
• Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand to react promptly
• Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, trade shows, etc.
• Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities
• Provides excellent customer sales service in order to grow share of the account
• Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholder
Qualifications
• Degree holder in Business Management, Hospitality Management or relevant discipline
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience preferably in luxury hotels
• Able to liaise effectively with global companies and travel trade accounts
• Dedication to providing great customer service
• Self-motivated, willing to learn and able to work under pressure with tight timeline
• Good communication and negotiation skills with both internal and external guests
• Excellent written and spoken Chinese, English, and Putonghua
