About the role

As a Marketing & Events Intern at The Great Room (“TGR”), you will be responsible for providing support to the marketing and events team in the coordination of regular events and executing marketing projects for existing TGR members.

A successful Marketing & Events Intern will assist in ensuring campaigns and projects are executed in a timely manner and assist in content creation to promote the TGR Brand.

You will report to the Marketing & Events Manager.

What you’ll do

Media Research and Content Creation

• Assist in the creation of social media content

• Support the creation and writing of EDM

• Content research for upcoming campaigns and marketing purposes

• Support in short video creations for social media, according to TGR Brand Guidelines

Housekeeping and Administration

• Assist in housekeeping of decks, SOPs, rate cards, brochures

• Ensure accurate formatting and compilation of media clippings

• Support in ensuring updated content on Members' Portal and Mobile app (Eg. Upcoming Events, Perks and Benefits for Members)

• Data entry to CRM system for expanding contact database

Events Support

• Ideation & execution of members and clients events

• Responding promptly to external event enquiries

• Liaising with external vendors for event supplies

• Assisting in handling all event logistics to ensure smooth operations before and during the event

• Following up with customer survey and ensure invoice and payment are issued and received

• Regular outreach to event leads to assist in reaching events revenue

Who you are

Requirements

• Have a qualification or undergrad in Events Management, Marketing, Hospitality, Business Management or the equivalent

• Interested candidates without prior experience are welcome to apply

• Proficient in Marketing and content creation tools

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

• Able to commit to at least 6 months of internship or term contract

• Able to meet tight deadlines and targets in a fast-paced environment

• Enjoy working with numerous people across cultures day-to-day

• Have strong organisational and planning skills, including the ability to prioritise, multi-task, delegate and work effectively with minimal supervision

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Self-starter with a good attitude towards learning
