Job Description
We seek an experienced and results-oriented Global Business Developer to take ownership of the global P&L for a key business unit. This pivotal role will require an individual with strong commercial acumen, global market expertise, and the ability to drive strategic growth.
The successful candidate will be based in Hong Kong and regularly travel worldwide to engage with customers, working closely with local sales representatives to strengthen relationships, identify opportunities, and deliver exceptional business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:Qualifications
• Strategic Leadership
• Develop and implement the global strategy for the business unit to meet revenue, profit, and market share objectives.
• Own the P&L for the business unit, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability across regions.
• Identify and prioritize key markets, opportunities, and challenges to guide regional sales teams.
• Business Development
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers, leveraging global travel to strengthen partnerships.
• Partner with local sales representatives to identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Represent the company and business unit at global industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
• Operational Excellence
• Align with cross-functional teams (marketing, operations, R&D) to ensure seamless execution of customer-centric solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer needs to guide product innovation and business strategies.
• Develop detailed forecasts and business plans to achieve targets, continuously evaluating performance metrics.
• Team Collaboration
• Mentor and guide regional sales representatives, providing leadership to achieve unified business objectives.
• Act as a bridge between global headquarters and local teams to align goals and maintain clear communication channels.
• Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in global business development, sales, or P&L management within a multinational company.
• Proven track record of leading business growth across multiple regions, preferably in a B2B environment.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong financial and analytical skills with a deep understanding of P&L management.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and collaborate across time zones.
• Proficiency in strategic negotiation and relationship management.
• Willingness to travel extensively (50-70%).
